Supporting Our Senior Community
With rising energy prices and the significant pressure on those in our community with fixed incomes James Pendleton have thought long and hard about what we can do to assist our neighbours and those in our community who are having to make that difficult choice as to whether they can afford to heat their home as well as fill their cupboards with food.
This has led us to take the decision that in 2022 we pledge to assist 120 local pensioners so that this does not become a decision that they are forced to make. We will pay £100 towards 10 nominated people’s energy bills. We will do this for 10 nominated parties per month for every month of this year.
We ask nothing in return for this assistance, we feel strongly that as a member of the community it is our responsibility to help those in our community that require it.
We appreciate that there will be many who throughout the pandemic have assisted with shopping or other activities made impossible for their more at risk neighbours and that this has kindled far more interaction within our community than we have seen historically. Added to this we understand that many would feel odd asking for help for themselves and as such we wanted to allow those who have supported their neighbours to help us to help them by nominating a member of this community who you feel would benefit from our assistance.
We do not want to attach a list of terms and conditions to this gesture so instead will ask that any nomination be limited to someone within our community as a resident of Wandsworth or Lambeth where James Pendleton operate. We only require the name and address of the nominee and the name and address of the person who has been generous enough to nominate them so that we can share with them who has put them forward and dissolve any concerns they may have about accepting the gift.
