We wish there were fewer estate agencies out there. With so many estate agencies to choose from, finding one which is genuinely helpful and knowledgeable can feel like a difficult task on top of what’s already one of the most important moments in the life of someone moving home.
As independent London estate agents we have developed the service we provide carefully, over the years, in response to the needs of the people who come through our doors. For us, the people who come through our doors are the people we need to listen to. Our service is our priority, which is - we think - why so many of our clients return year after year.
Quite simply, we feel that not enough agencies share our commitment to service, and that more could be done - by ourselves as well as by other agencies - to think about what the buyer, seller, landlord or tenant needs. We introduce initiatives to improve client experience as often as we can, one example being the introduction of our Angel department in 2012.
The department works specifically with people after they have moved in. This is a group of people often overlooked, and our team of post-move specialists use their lengthy experience of coordinating moves (and resolving the problems that can come therewith) to fix issues, if not pre-emptively, then immediately.
The Angel team put together an information pack - complete with a gift from James Pendleton - for each client, as well as responding to the needs of each new homeowner and keeping an emergency set of keys in a safe place in case contractors need access while the homeowner is out. Many of those who take up our service actually bought elsewhere and stay with us after meeting the Angel team.
