Local Estate Agent to Donate £25,000 to Charity

Local estate agency firm James Pendleton, which has six offices in Clapham, Battersea, Battersea Park, Wandsworth and Lambeth, is well into a major fund-raising initiative that aims to raise £25,000 during 2010 for five important charities. 

“We have made it through the recession and continued to thrive and expand,” CEO Lee James Pendleton. “So now it’s time to take this to the next level and share some of our success, passion and our sense of fun for the benefit of those less fortunate than ourselves.”

The company has organised several fund-raising initiatives over the course of 2010 including parachute jumps, a London-Windsor bike ride, hot-coal walking, motorcycling in Africa, rallying in India, local and company raffles, parties and more.   

The charities that will each receive £5,000 are:

1. Perthes Association www.perthes.org.uk , Helping children with Osteochondritis, as a suffer of this disease at 6 years old this is a charity close to my heart.

2. Trinity Hospice  www.trinityhospice.org.uk ,a local hospice on Clapham Common Northside, which provides specialist end-of-life care to more than 2,000 local people.  

3. Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity www.rainbowtrust.org.uk which provides practical and emotional support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.

4. Adventure Ashram www.adventureashram.org helps people in India achieve a higher standard of living through better health and education, with monies raised matched by funding from the Indian government and businesses.

5. Unicef www.unicef.org.uk provides healthcare, education, equal opportunities and protection from abuse, violence and exploitation in some of the world’s harshest areas.
